  • Lenten Breakfast

    Our Lenten Breakfasts are proving to be a great success again this year. What a lovely opportunity for our families to meet and enjoy each others company, and at the same time raise valuable funds for our Year 6 charity; Great Ormond Street. As always a huge thank you to our School Cook Angela and her team of helpers for the wonderful breakfast!

  • Year 4 Assembly – The Egyptians

    On Friday 22nd March,  Year 4 treated us to a wonderful assembly about the Ancient Egyptians. They have clearly been enjoying the topic immensely. Thank you to all the children, Ms Stojek, Mrs Downton, Mrs Slattery and Mrs Ley.

  • Year 5 & Diamond Club Afternoon Tea

    On Tuesday 19th March, we were delighted that the Diamond Club were able to join our Year 5 children for Afternoon Tea. This is such a special event, made even more special with the beautiful china crockery, cakes and conversation!

  • Diamond Club Celebration Assembly

    On Tuesday 19th March, we were delighted that the Diamond Club joined us for a special assembly to celebrate our intergenerational relationship. It was lovely to be able to publicly thank the Diamond Club for all their time and enthusiasm over the years, we are so grateful for their company, their experience and their friendship. The Diamond Club were, as always, full of praise for our School. The relationship between ourselves and the Diamonds really is mutually beneficial and a privilege to witness.

  • Mini Vinnie Commissioning Mass

    On Tuesday 19th March, the Year 5 Mini Vinnies celebrated running for five years at Holy Cross. They have work tirelessly to help those in our local community who are in need. Year 5  were officially commissioned at a beautiful Mass. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our governor, Mrs Gwen Quintyn- Williams whose dedication to the School is truly astounding. We also thank Mr Patrick Doyle, the SVP president, for his kind words to each and every one of the children.

  • The Daffodil Competition

    On Tuesday 19 March, we held our annual Daffodil Competition. We were treated to an amazing display of over 150 daffodil entries. We were delighted that the Diamond Club came into School to judge the competition. Wihat a difficult choice they had to choose the winners from all those beautiful blooms! 

  • The Mayor of Lewisham Visits Holy Cross School

    On Friday 15th March, the Mayor of Lewisham, Mr Damien Egan, visited us. He came into a whole school assembly during which he explained what his responsibilities are and how he was elected. He then had a meeting with the School Council to talk to them about their roles within the School.

  • Year 3 Assembly

    On Wednesday 13th March, Year 3 treated us to an informative and exciting assembly about The Romans, a topic the children have been learning about this term. Thanks to the children for their superb efforts, Mr Foster, Mrs Forde, Miss Baptise, Mrs Chang Wai Ling for preparing them so well and last but not least grateful thanks to Mrs Ley for the wonderful piano playing and singing.
