Designated Safeguarding Leads
Safeguarding is the action that is taken to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm. Safeguarding means: protecting children and young people from abuse and maltreatment. preventing harm to children’s health or development, ensuring children grow up with the provision of safe and effective care.
Any child can be considered to be at risk of harm or abuse, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender or religion. We follow legislation from the government to protect children from maltreatment, ensuring children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care, and enable children and young people to have the best outcomes. Responsibility for these aims at Holy Cross lies with all members of staff.
Holy Cross School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and requires all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Enhanced DBS checks are carried out on all staff.
