Holocaust Memorial Day
In preparation for Holocaust Memorial Day on Sunday, January 27th, our recent UNICEF assembly served as a poignant reminder of the importance of honouring and learning from history. We focused on the UNICEF articles 2, 19, 37, and 38, which highlight the rights of children to protection from discrimination, violence, and exploitation, as well as their right to freedom of thought and expression. We discussed the Holocaust as a tragic chapter in history and emphasised the significance of promoting tolerance, empathy, and understanding among our students. Through this assembly, we hope to instill the values of compassion and respect, ensuring that the lessons of the past guide our commitment to creating a more inclusive and just world for all children.
